Florida Harbor Pilots Association Scholarships
Each year, the Florida Harbor Pilots Association (FHPA) selects three minority cadets, from one of the seven national maritime academies who show enthusiasm and aptitude for a possible career as a state harbor pilot. The selected reipients will each receive a $2,500 scholarship, plus all their pre-approved travel expenses to attend a training session with a pilot association in Florida, where they will receive the scholarship, get hands-on experience, and be exposed to many aspects of a harbor pilot's career.

Tampa Bay Pilots Association – Maritime Internship Training Program
The Tampa Bay Pilots Association’s Maritime Internship Training Program provides the opportunity for a student from a maritime institution to increase his/her understanding and awareness of the roles and responsibilities of the harbor pilots in preserving and protecting the Tampa Bay ports, population and environment while providing the highest quality of reliable, efficient and modern pilotage services that are essential to the economy and the public health, safety and welfare of the Tampa Bay region.
